Themes: Default Green Valve

Word.

I’m thinking about upgrading my little blog here to something like WordPress, or one of those other mainstream blogger toolz. Then I can take full advantage of Flock (I love taking advantage of young ladies). That isn’t the main reason, infact I hate the way Flock set’s up her “favourites” and the whole star system is just downright bizarre. I mean it’s supposed to have full integration with del.icio.us, yet the Flock tags and the del tags aren’t even compatible! As you can see by my account, it got really old, really quick. If I wanted to be tagging bookmarks.. sorry, “favourites” all day, I would get a job making tags. Fuck, I’m a graphic designer, I could make DAMN PRETTY tags. I could take the tag world by storm!
Yeah, so I don’t like Flock. What was my point again? Oh right, blogger tools.
I downloaded WordPress 2.0. I hear good things about it, so I proceeded to install it on my little apache server. It met the requirements, and still phailed to work. Just a big blank white page after I log in. So it seems I will have to do everything online.
The reason I want one of these tools over say, Cutenews, is because it just seems so much easier to use. The only thing I don’t like is that I need to rebuild the blog everytime I change something. That’s the main reason I killed my blogger account when I did.
I also didn’t enjoy the whole site being generated via the blog template. I suppose I could counter-act that by adding a heap of php includes for everything in the template.
Cutenews is just such a pain with everything. I’ve been to wordpress blogs, and they sure look a lot easier to manage.

Does it annoy anyone else when you give someone a URL and they ask, “Dose it ned a WWW !!! ???” It’s the 20-something..st… century for God’s sake. The internet has been around for a millenia, NO IT DOESN’T NEED A WWW. EVERY FUCKING BROWSER IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD WILL STILL FIND THE WEBSITE IF YOU PUT IN THE WWW OR NOT.
Even radios and teevee ads don’t say WWW when giving out URLs. Christ.

Also, turns out to have fully functional domain masking I need to pay for a $30 dollar add-on service at my domain registrar. I LOLLED in their face. I’m currently looking for decently priced domain registrar that can use Australian Bank Transfer.
