I was playing Counter-Strike: Source earlier and the funniest thing happened.
The whole server started lagging really bad.
I play on GameArena, and they have an Australian-Only policy, so they figure if your ping is higher than 300ms, you ain't from around here.
We were all promptly kicked.
Just after snapping this print-screen I was kicked.
Pesky GameArena admins and their annoying need to download hordes of pr0n while I shoot some angry terrorists with big guns.
It's funny, cause the only time I've gotten a ping above 100 is when I've had other crap running. I'm not even with Telstra and I get below 20 average all the time.
Don't worry Baines, just wait until you get your new net.
Amen, I don't think I'll ever buy anything from Telstra again.
I think the most I've ever gotten on GameArena in terms of ping (on an average day) is about 25-30, but it rarely reaches that high. Most of the players in Sydney are like right next door to Telstra and get 1-3 ping
That is teh horrible!
You need to play on some server that isn't Australia sometime so I can be beaten by you and forced to retire from CS forever.
hehe baines, you know how GA is, sometimes everybody gets laggy like that, not usually for long enough that everyone gets kicked though
and btw the Servers in Melbourne so teh ppl in syd would get a good ping, but not that good
, btw I use to get a ping of around 80, but finally the idiots at GA did something smart and bought some new servers with 100 tick rate. Still dosent help my aiming though and plus they **** it real bad by putting mani on there and all this new shit about how you have 2 have default commands set by GA. What if you dont have an ub3r l33t PC and cant run it with rain on Aztec o.O
I totally agree, the zBlock plugin is a real cockup of a move. I was fine with it until I found out it autoconfigures your settings. I thought it was just a new anti-hax which I'm always fine with.
Like Roscoe said, nobody wants to hear that annoying music in Italy's market. And the rain on Aztec is a frame killer no matter how uber l33t your PC is, unfortunately.
Sometimes the GameOps on the forum will listen to a suggestion if enough of the community are behind it. I don't mind the idea of zBlock, but certain things we just can't live without. If they can configure it so we can still kill the rain, ambient noise and such, everyone would win!
