I’ve done the following:
- Completely finished the template/s I believe, there still might be a few things I’ve missed.
- Got all of the skins working nice and cosher as far as I can tell atleast, please inform me if you find any bugs.
- Added all of the “pages”
- Added all of the sidebar sections from the previous/current blog
- Added gravatar support.
- Brought blog over to /blog/ directory, put the old blog in /blog_old/
And I’ve still to do:
- Done!
Figure out how to incorperate any custom fields (listening to) into the template so they show up on the page. - Done!
Fix the previous/next article styles - Done!
Add support for Technorati tags - Done!
Make new icons for “time”, “next”, “previous”, “tags” and “music”(I didn’t make these new icons, instead, I used the Silk Icons by Mark James) - Done!
Add “Latest Comments” page - Done!
Change gravatar/rss stylings for different skins - Add all my ‘ye olde’ quicktags
- Get the skins page workin’
- Port over the blog_old archives
Things I want to do but probably won’t for a while:
- make a couple more skins resembling previous things I’ve done: Dark Tree, dBaines.com Generation One: Version One, Shiznit Productions version 4, and maybe even an ABCMortgage resembalee
I’m not sure if I want to add transparent PNG support for IE, since I’ve changed alot of things to PNG from GIF or plain JPEGs to support multiple skins, or just wait it out for IE7.
I’ve ported over a couple of the old posts, it doesn’t look like I can port the comments in any particularly easy manner unfortunately.
I’ve been making a “how to make active/unactive tabs using php and css” tutorial as shown in the uber noobi layout I’ve had in my temp folder for a few months. I’ve been slowly adding to it on and off over the past day, it’s no where near finished, I haven’t even got up to the PHP bit yet ![]()
I’ve been writing it in wordpress, so it will be part of the blog, and won’t be with the other tutorials in the gallery.
Also, where did my favicon go? I was porting stuff over and realized the url for the favicon was wrong for the blog, so I tried fixing but no joy. So I did some lookin’ around my ftp and lo and behold, no favicon. I don’t know where it went but I’ve put it back now.

I still don’t know what actually caused the issue to have the blog fuck up like that, but it’s fixed now. After giving up on trying to find and fix the issue, I backed up all of the posts/categories and such and re-installed wp. Everything is cosher again.
Man if I finished all my stuff on my to-do list….. keep up the cool work on the site dudez0rz
